An Air Mattress (Anti-Bedsore Alternating Pressure Mattress) is an essential medical device for any patient who is bedridden or has severely limited mobility. Bedsores — also called pressure ulcers or pressure sores — develop when sustained pressure on a specific area of the body cuts off blood circulation to the skin and underlying tissue. In bedridden patients, this can happen within hours and progress to serious, painful wounds that are very difficult to treat.
Staar Respiratory Solutions offers anti-bedsore air mattresses for both sale and rent across Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, and the entire NCR region. The mattress works through an automatic alternating pressure system — an electric pump inflates and deflates alternating sets of air cells every 8–10 minutes, continuously shifting the pressure contact points across the patient's body. This prevents any single area from bearing sustained pressure, restoring blood circulation and dramatically reducing the risk of bedsore formation.
The adjustable pressure control knob on the pump allows caregivers to set the right firmness based on the patient's weight and comfort needs — lighter patients need less pressure, heavier patients need more. The 130+ air cells in a dense arrangement ensure complete and even body support with no pressure concentration zones. The waterproof PVC cover makes the mattress easy to clean and maintain hygienically.
